Yukon Communicable Disease Control
Yukon Communicable Disease Control (YCDC) monitors and controls all infectious diseases. Contact Yukon Communicable Disease Unit for:
- HIV testing and treatment
- STI testing and treatment
- emergency birth control and non-emergency birth control
- needle stick injuries
- food poisoning
- Hepatitis C testing and treatment
- other matters related to infectious diseases.
Yukon Communicable Disease Control Unit provides confidential testing for all sexually transmitted infections from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are in the morning and there is drop-in between 12:30 and 4:00 p.m. For appointments or more information call 667-8323 or 1-800-661-0408, extension 8323.
If you live in a community outside of Whitehorse, you can also visit your local community health centre for STI testing and treatment.

Sexual Health
- If you have questions about birth control, sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health or anything related to sexuality you can also contact YK-STYLE. YK STYLE is a free, confidential sexual health information line. It is open from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday. Call 1-877-YK STYLE (1-877-957-8953).
- You can also call the Yukon HealthLine, which is staffed with registered nurses and other health professionals. They can answer questions related to sexual health or any other health related questions. Yukon HealthLine is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free and confidential. Call 811 from anywhere in Yukon.
